Paper Crafts Fun Way To Improve One’s Focus
I enjoy making things and doing paper craft because it helps me create stuff using old fashioned methods. In a time when DVD duplication involves nothing more than pressing a few buttons, each and every paper craft I prepare is made out of my hard work and efforts.
Do you know how difficult it is to concentrate on a specific task for long durations? Most individuals find it difficult to stick to a specific task for more than thirty or forty minutes at a stretch. Now that we have technology at our disposal, we find it difficult to focus on even the simplest task for more than three or four minutes at a stretch. How many times to you check your Facebook profile in a single hour? That should be enough indication that maintaining focus has become very difficult.
In such a scenario, making objects and designs with paper compels me to focus my entire attention towards the task on hand. All it takes is a single slip of the hand for the design to be destroyed. There is no undo button available in real life. I have to visualize the finished product even before I start working on the paper design. I have to consider the thickness of the paper, texture, final product I wish to make and the colors I intend to use.
I also have to tackle frequent bouts of creativity and imagination that occurs in the middle of the project. Sometimes I feel like incorporating the same into my original idea and sometimes I decide to give it to skip and save it for some other time. All this requires me to pay complete attention to the task until it is finished.
